Anurradha Prasad, the Chairperson cum Managing Director of B.A.G. Network has been elected the president of the Association of Radio Operators of India (AROI). She succeeds Ms. Apurva Purohit, CEO of Radio City as the President of the said association.
Ms. Prasad has been elected unopposed as the President of the coveted radio body that aims to address the issues concerning radio operators in the country. Primary amongst the concerns are the increasing the license period for radio operators, relaxing current restrictions on content on radio amongst others. “We will aim to take our concerns to the government and get them addressed at the earliest to help sustain the radio industry and make good the losses radio operators have been bearing for the past many years,” Ms. Prasad is quoted having said after her appointment.
Anurradha Prasad heads her own regional radio station Dhamaal 24 that is operational in ten stations across the country including Hissar, Karnal, Patiala, Dhule, Jalgaon, Muzzafarpur, Shimla, Jabalpur and Ahmednagar and Ranchi. Her radio station is known for its unique programming and stylish content mixed with the typical flavor of the region wherein it is aired. She is a member of FICCI and is the recipient of several awards and accolades for her lifetime contribution to the business of content.
